BOOK A GUTTER CLEAR NOW
Moss on your roof can be a significant problem for several reasons. Firstly, it can lead to costly repairs down the line. As moss grows, it can lift and curl tiles, causing them to become damaged and potentially even fall off. This can create openings for water to seep into your home, leading to costly repairs and potential damage to the interior of your home. Furthermore, moss can also attract insects and rodents, which can lead to infestations. Finally, moss can also make your roof look unsightly and decrease its curb appeal, potentially affecting the value of your home. By addressing moss growth on your roof, you can prevent these issues and ensure the longevity and integrity of your roof.
Roof cleaning process (soft wash method)
With the soft wash method we start by removing the moss from the roof using a mix of brushes and scrape plates that are shaped to your tiles. This step removes around %90 of the moss. After this is complete we then treat the roof with the biocide, this treatment kills off any remaining moss which will gradually leave the roof with the help of the wind and rain. The biocide will also prevent moss from growing back depending on what the surrounding growth is like with trees. It will draw out the dirt in the tiles to the surface so after around 10 weeks you'll start to notice the original colour of the tiles come out. The tiles will continue to self clean for a year or more, and remain clean until organic growth starts again. We finish off every roof clean by clearing the gutters and channels out and clean the exteriors.
